Thaakir is an experienced 1st AC/Focus Puller whose passion for the film industry began in 2015, while still in high school. He entered the industry as a Production Assistant, where his strong work ethic, curiosity, and willingness to learn quickly opened the door to the Camera Department.
His camera journey officially began as a Camera Trainee on Troy: Fall of a City, where he trained for seven months, building a solid technical foundation. This led to five years as a 2nd Assistant Camera, during which he refined his skills, earned the trust of DOPs and HODs, and developed a deep understanding of on-set workflow. In 2023, his consistency, professionalism, and leadership resulted in his promotion to full-time 1st AC, a role he has confidently held for the past three years.
Thaakir has extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of professional camera systems and accessories. Thaakir continues to bring precision, leadership, and a collaborative spirit to every set he works on.
