Kevin Shepherd has been working in the film and television industry for over 30 years, gaining experience across multiple areas from production to post-production. He has worked extensively as a Lighting/Grip Assistant on both studio and location projects, including commercials, where he was responsible for setting up lighting for indoor and outdoor shoots.
From 2007 to 2025, Kevin served as the Technical/Warehouse Manager of a busy video equipment rental house. In this role, he developed comprehensive knowledge of cameras, monitors, wireless systems, lighting, grip, and audio equipment. His responsibilities required him to set up and operate the full range of equipment, as well as troubleshoot technical issues — often providing remote support to clients.
Between 1995 and 1997, Kevin worked part-time as a Studio Technician/Grip with various companies in Hollywood. His duties included setting up studio lighting, operating cameras for infomercials and live feeds, running cables from broadcast trucks, and preparing cameras for live sporting event broadcasts.

Telecine Assistant at Technicolor Complete Post – responsible for setting up and operating tape decks, recording transfers from original film.

Edit Assistant at Encore – using official dailies and client EDLs to create show master reels, generate credits, and integrate them into final masters.

International Film Transfer at Encore – converting NTSC master reels into PAL format through digital conversion for international delivery.
